POSITION:   Cafeteria Manager - SHHS

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

 

• Responsible for all facets of school food service.
• Supervises other food and nutrition service employees in the school.
• Provides orientation and training for substitutes and new employees.
• Implements planned menus using time management techniques and effective merchandising.
• Maintains the required system of accountability. This record keeping system includes meal accountability reports, food production records, inventory sheets, and employee time sheets.
• Orders food and food-related items on an as-needed basis.
• Assumes responsibility for receiving and checking food and food related deliveries.
• Initiates work orders for equipment repairs.
• Manages the food and nutrition programs in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements.
• Plans work schedules and assignments.
• Maintains membership and certification with the School Nutrition Association.
• Performs other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the principal or Food Nutrition Services Coordinator.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• Must be ServSafe certified
• Experience in food service and cashiering
• Familiarity with computers

 

 

SALARY:

 

            This is a 10-month, non-certificated position.  Will be placed on the appropriate salary scale based on experience and qualifications.
